Numerical simulations
using the Aliev-Panfilov model
(series 01)

Fig 1. Field model of excitable medium by Aliev and Panfilov (R. Aliev, A.Panfilov. Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 1996;7(3)).

In 2006 we performed some theoretical investigation of dependance of indexes of ECG variability on myocardium state during ventricular arrhythmia. In this investigation in silico we reproduced a series of reentrant arrhythmias using the Aliev-Panfilov model of excitable media, with ECG registration in a number of points under the "virtual myocarium" being obtained. Appearance of the Aliev-Panfilov model (AP) see in Fig 1.

Before we show some interested peculiarities of ventricular arrhythmias reproduced by the AP-model and detected by the ANI-method (see Biophysics 2003;48(2)). In this series of simulation we walked with step Da=0.005 in the range 0.080 £ a £ 0.200, with the other parameters being fixed as previously: m2 is equal to 0.3 or to 1.3, m1=0.2, k=8.0 and e0=0.01. The simulations are performed with the computer programm developed by Yu.E. Elkin AutoWaveModelling, version Dec 2003.
